At Royal Randwick on day one of The Championships, Larneuk Stud's Gr1-winning stallion Ilovethiscity (Magic Albert-Kensington Rose, by Kenfair) celebrated an elite race success when 2YO Australian-bred filly El Dorado Dreaming (Ilovethiscity-Solanas, by Zabeel) broke her maiden in sensational fashion when storming home at odds of 80-1 to win the $1 million Gr1 Sires' Produce Stakes (1400m) for 2YOs, defeating Oohood & Outrageous. El Dorado Dreaming improved her record to 1 win and 2 placings from 4 starts for $704,255 in earnings. El Dorado Dreaming became the longest priced Group 1 winner in Sydney since Zavite won the Ranvet Stakes at $101 in 2011. "We weren't just here to make up the numbers but we didn't expect her to win," trainer Ben Smith told Sky Racing. "We didn't think she'd be a two-year-old but she just trialled so well in February. She's come back a lot better and now she's a Group One winner." Bred by her owner Yvonne Pearce, El Dorado Dreaming hails from the family of multiple Gr1 winner and brilliant sprinter Gold Ace and Gr1 winner Final Card.
