    Wednesday, 22nd January 2025

Producing the goods in her only trial to date, winning by a length and a half over 850m on her home track of the Gold Coast, Lee Freedman's 2YO filly Profoundly (Farnan-Profound Wisdom, by Al Samer) heads to Doomben on Wednesday where she will make her debut. A first crop runner by Kia Ora Stud's Gr1 Golden Slipper winner Farnan who has been represented by two winners to date highlighted by the Gr3 Breeders' Plate placed North England, if successful on Wednesday, Profoundly will become the third individual winner for her sire. One of seven runners in the field of 10, the $65,000 Sledmere Stud, Inglis Classic yearling sale graduate has drawn barrier 7 with Taylor Marshall in the saddle. With 29 yearlings by Farnan at the upcoming Inglis Classic yearling sale, any runner success by the former G Waterhouse & A Bott-trained colt will further highlight his upcoming progeny. From the raced runners in Wednesday's field, Liam Birchley's Whatta Mission (The Mission-Diamond Masque, by Align) looks the hardest to beat off the back of her last start second over 1000m at the Sunshine Coast.
