At Hastings in New Zealand, Westbury Stud's Gr2-winning stallion Postponed (Summer Squall-Bridal Tea, by Gulch) celebrated an elite race success when 7YO gelding Wait A Sec (Postponed-Security, by Grosvenor) caused a huge upset at odds of 30-1 when landing the rescheduled $250,000 Gr1 Livamol Classic (2000m) for 3YO+, defeating odds-on favourite Gingernuts & Endean Rose. In registering the seventh win from his last eight outings, Wait A Sec improved his record to 11 wins and 11 placings from 41 starts for NZ$330,195 in earnings. A delighted co-trainer Grant Cullen told NZ Racing Desk: "This is huge for Hawkes Bay to win this race with a local, it's a real thrill. It hasn't sunk in yet but I'm sure it will by tomorrow or maybe the next day." Wait A Sec was purchased for just $25,000 at the 2009 NZB Select Yearling Sale from the draft of Trelawney Stud.
