  • Ready2Race Sale Pushed Back to 26 October

    Tuesday, 14th September 2021

The Inglis Ready2Race Sale has been moved back a fortnight and will now take place at Riverside on Tuesday October 26, according to inglis.com.au. The decision was reportedly made following significant consultation with the NSW State Government as well as vendors and buyers. The new date will see the auction remain as the first of the Australasian 2YO sales for 2021. Breeze ups for the sale have already begun, with 57 horses galloping at Seymour on Friday, headed by a Russian Revolution x Fiery Jest colt (pictured) which clocked 10.22secs. There will also be breeze ups this week at Eagle Farm on Wednesday and Hawkesbury on Friday, while Cambridge will host NZ-based 2YOs on Monday, September 20. As a result, the second chance breeze-up session will now be held on Friday October 22 at a venue to be confirmed in coming weeks. Inglis’ managing director Mark Webster explained, “We have been in regular conversation with Deputy Premier John Barilaro, his department and NSW health officials the past couple of months regarding this sale and the continuity of our business operations to keep our industry on foot, but rest assured all activities are being conducted with the health and safety of our clients and staff as our paramount priority.”
