Formerly trained by Team Hawkes, 3YO Saif (Pride Of Dubai-Little Miss Sunshine, by Husson) has been sold to Hong Kong connections after just three local starts in Australia. Successful on debut at Ballarat, the gelding then finished second in the Gr2 VRC Sires' Produce Stakes behind Lightsaber (Zoustar) before defeating eventual Gr1 JJ Atkins winner Converge (Frankel) in the Gr3 Schweppervescence (1400m). Purchased from the draft of Coolmore Stud by his trainers at the 2020 Inglis Easter Yearling Sale for $290,000, the gelding is yet to arrive in Hong Kong, but co trainer Wayne Hawkes confirmed the sale on RSN. One of four winners from four runners for his stakes-placed dam, the mare had a full-brother to Saif sell at this year's Inglis Easter Yearling Sale for $130,000 to Dynamic Syndications. Retiring to stud as the fastest 2YO son of Street Cry, Pride Of Dubai has covered over 870 mares in five seasons at stud and will stand the upcoming breeding season at a fee of $22,000 (inc. GST), a drop from $38,500 (inc GST) the previous season.
