NZB Opens Entries for 2022 NYSS

Entries are now open for New Zealand Bloodstock’s 2022 National Yearling Sales Series, with the action-packed Sale set to take place next summer at the Karaka Sales Centre.  Continuing NZB’s traditional sale format, Book 1 is set to commence from Sunday 23 until Tuesday 25 January, while Book 2 will begin directly after, from Wednesday 26 until Friday 28 January. The National Online Yearling Sale will take place in April. The renowned Sale has produced a prolific number of modern day and all-time champion racehorses. This, joined with leading technology and world-famous kiwi hospitality, will again combine for an unforgettable Karaka experience. This season, NZB graduates have dominated on racetracks, claiming 100% of Group 1 Australian Derbies and the last four consecutive Hong Kong Derbies. Key indicators for consideration ahead of the 2022 renewal include:

• Karaka 2021’s combined average of $93,738 was the highest seen since 2018, despite no international buyers on the ground.
• The combined clearance rate of 82% was the highest seen in over a decade.
• Karaka 2022 will showcase the first crop of eight New Zealand-based first season sires including Ace High, Ardrossan, Embellish, Eminent, Jon Snow, Ocean Emperor, Staphanos and U S Navy Flag.
