Japan Foal Sale Catalogue Released

The catalogue for the prestigious Japan Racing Horse Association (JRHA) Select Sale has been released, reports jrha-selectsale.com. With 249 yearlings and 241 foals listed, there are several of note for Australian breeders and buyers. Among the yearlings are a colt by Just a Way (Heart's Cry-Sibyl, by Wild Again) from Gr1 Australian Oaks winner Absolutely (Redoute's Choice-Catshaan, by Catrail); a Heart's Cry (Sunday Silence-Irish Dance, by Tony Bin) colt from Gr1 Robert Sangster Stakes winner Driefontein (Fastnet Rock-Follow Gold, by Export Price); a colt by Satono Diamond (Deep Impact-Malpensa, by Orpen) from Group 1 winner Set Square (Reset-Dynastar, by Zeditave) and  a colt by Heart's Cry from Gr1 Golden Slipper winner She Will Reign (Manhattan Rain-Courgette, by Charge Forward). Among the foals listed for sale are a Lonhro (Octagonal-Shadea, by Straight Strike) colt from A Gala Day (Munnings-La Defense, by Wild Again); a Cheval Grand (Heart's Cry-Halwa Sweet, by Machiavellian) filly from winning mare Gienah (Redoute's Choice-Zarakiysha, by Kendor) who was exported to Japan as a yearling herself; a Real Steel (Deep Impact-Loves Only You, by Storm Cat) filly from Group 1 winner Kirramosa (Alamosa-Freyja, by Danske); a colt by Heart's Cry from Loves Only Me (Storm Cat-Monevassia, by Mr. Prospector) making him a half-sibling to Group 1 winners Real Steel (Deep Impact) and Loves Only You (Deep Impact); and a colt by Lord Kanaloa (King Kamehameha-Lady Blossom, by Storm Cat) from Australian Group 1 winner Yankee Rose (All American-Condesaar, by Xaar).
