Arcadia Queen Family Retained by Peters

Despite Monday’s shock announcement that their breathtakingly talented mare Arcadia Queen (Pierro-Arcadia, by Redoute’s Choice) will be sold at May’s Magic Millions National Broodmare Sale, Bob and Sandra Peters are taking heed of the advice that one can sell the fruit but should never part with the tree. They may be losing a key matron, however the WA owner-breeders still remain heavily invested in their premium thoroughbred family. Bob Peters noted, “Going forward, I have got a yearling full-sister [to Arcadia Queen] on the ground and there's three other full-sisters [to dam Antique] going to Pierro this year and others in foal - there's a lot of the blood to come for the family." Champion Arcadia Queen is a full-sister to group winner Arcadia Prince, sister in-blood to Group 1 winner Regal Power and a half-sister to Derby-winning filly Arcadia Dream (Domesday) and stakes-winner Arcadia Rose (Kheleyf).
