Weekend Black Type Premiership Schedule

Kick-started by Friday’s Listed Wagga Wagga Gold Cup (2000m) at the award-winning Murrumbidgee Turf Club, there are officially 15 Black-Type events this weekend, headed by Adelaide’s Gr1 South Australian Derby (2500m). Taking on Gr1 Australian Derby hero Explosive Jack (Jakkalberry) is a superb field that includes exceptional staying talent in the form of Royal Mile (Danerich), Liquero (Fiorente), Let’s Karaka Deel (Dundeel), Deepstrike (Tavistock) and Personal (Fastnet Rock). A top-three run by Personal will put her clear on the Black Type 3YO Premiership. Creating interest outside of the official Group and Listed affairs is the first running of Gosford’s The Coast (1600m), a $500,000 event that’s attracted a quality line-up.
