  • Crown Towers Earns Third SAf Stakes Success

    Wednesday, 21st April 2021

Australian-bred, South African-raced Crown Towers (Camelot-Miss With Attitude, by Galileo) added a third stakes success to his record, leading throughout to win the Listed Sledgehammer Stakes (1750m) at Scottsville racecourse over the weekend. Trained by Snaith Racing, the 5YO Mill Park Stud-consigned Inglis Premier Yearling Sale graduate is one of the leading KZN runners for his Cape Town-based stable, having also won the Michaelmas Handicap (1900m) when based in Durban. With seven wins from his 19 starts, his jump and run tactics could be used later in the season, with Justin Snaith commentimng post-race, “I’d love to see him out front setting the pace in the Durban July in a dream world.” Continuing Mill Park Stud’s outstanding record with runners in South Africa, highlighted by the recently retired Group 1 winner Run Fox Run (Foxwedge), Crown Towers is one of four winners for his stakes-placed dam Miss With Attitude (Galileo); a half-sister to the dams of the Gr2 Stan Fox Stakes winner Peltzer (So You Think) and the Listed Adelaide Guineas winner So We Are (So You Think). Miss With Attitude is currently in foal to Arrowfield Stud’s The Autumn Sun (Redoute’s Choice), having foaled a colt by the same sire last season.
