Real Steel Full Sister Set for Dubai Group 1

Following publication on Tuesday of Japan Racing Association's increased 2020 turnover (see below item), comes the news that Japanese Oaks winner Loves Only You (Deep Impact-Loves Only Me, by Storm Cat) will take her place in the Gr1 Dubai Sheema Classic at the Dubai World Cup meeting on March 27, reports horseracingplanet.com. Out of a granddaughter of Miesque (Nureyev), a Champion 2YO, 3YO and 4YO with Group 1 victories in the US, France and the UK, Loves Only You is a full-sister to Gr1 Dubai Turf winner and Gr1 Japan 2,000 Guineas runner-up Real Steel – see below – who shuttled to Arrowfield in 2019, as well as Listed winner Prodigal Son and group-placed winner Lord Langley. Loves Only You, whose grandam is a full-sister to multiple Group 1 winner and successful stallion Kingmambo (Mr Prospector), will be ridden by Britain's reigning Champion Jockey Oisin Murphy who is returning after a three month cocaine ban. "I am really pleased to get that opportunity," said Murphy. "She goes there off the back of a Group 2 win." Loves Only You won her first four starts in succession, including the Gr1 Tokyo Yushun Himba (Japan Oaks), before embarking on an ambitious 4YO campaign that included placing in the Gr1 Hanshin Queen Elizabeth II Cup in November 2020. Loves Only You has won at her only start this season, in the Gr2 Kyoto Kinen over 2200m.
