Final Golden Slipper Field Stands

In tandem with its announced week postponement of the remainder of the Sydney Autumn Racing Carnival (see above) due to a deluge of rain, Racing NSW and the Australian Turf Club have advised that the final field, including the barriers, for the Longines Golden Slipper Stakes will be carried forward to Saturday, 27 March 2021. Nominations for all other Group and Listed races from the Longines Golden Slipper day program, to be run on 27 March 2021, will be reopened and acceptances taken at 9am on Wednesday, 24 March 2021. The race programs for the remaining race meetings will be unchanged. “The postponement of the Golden Slipper meeting is unfortunate, but under the circumstances both the ATC and Racing NSW feel that resetting the Sydney Autumn Carnival one week later is the best overall option for participants and the flow of the Carnival," said Racing NSW Chief Executive, Mr Peter V’landys AM. Most bookmakers have already refunded bets placed after final acceptances earlier in the week.
