Weekend Black Type Premiership Schedule

Everything is relative; whilst 20 stakes events would ordinarily be considered a big weekend of feature racing, the 36 black-type affairs that run from Friday to Sunday will be immediately followed by another 7 on Monday in Adelaide and Canberra. The upshot is that with many of the Black Type Premiership tables tightly contested some out-of-left-field candidates, hitherto off the radar, can rapidly take advantage of the glut of points available – 500 before Monday’s races are even taken into consideration.
