Off the back of a cracking weekend where five of his progeny either won or placed at stakes level in Australia and New Zealand, Coolmore Stud stalwart Fastnet Rock (Danehill-Piccadilly Circus, by Royal Academy) could have a smart unraced 2YO in the making. Named Audrey Girl, the juvenile filly was a $400,000 Magic Millions yearling where she was knocked down to Busuttin Racing from the draft of Attunga Stud. Out of the German Group 3-placed stakes-winning mare Dessau (Soldier Hollow), Audrey Girl appears to have her share of ability with markets for her debut run at Bendigo this afternoon hovering around $1.75 off an outside barrier from the 1000m gates. Her deep catalogue page is also notable for something else; almost every family member's name – around fifty of them – starts with the letter D but don't be put off by the fact that hers starts with an A. The only other runner in the family whose moniker begins with an A was Dubai World Cup and Gr1 Kentucky Derby winner Animal Kingdom (Leroidesanimeaux).
