  • Glen Ready to Boss Melbourne Autumn

    Friday, 22nd January 2021

With the lure of big race rides aboard Cox Plate winner Sir Dragonet and brilliant Godolphin sprinter Bivouac front of mind, star jockey Glen Boss has decided to base himself in Victoria in the lead-in to the Autumn Carnival, reports AAP. The decision is also based around the uncertainty of border restrictions in light of the COVID pandemic. Boss's Melbourne raid kicks-off with rides at Caulfield on Saturday and he intends to also make himself available for mid-week metro meetings and key barrier trials as well. Boss commented, "I'm going to make the move and go down to Melbourne and stay there for at least a month or so. I don't want to get caught anywhere and miss out on rides." He added, "I'm really excited. I'm looking forward to it. I'm going down there to go full tilt." Boss is particularly bullish about Sir Dragonet and Bivouac's Autumn prospects, with this on the latter, "You'd say there wouldn't be a horse on the planet that could beat [Bivouac] when he's on his game."
