  • Reputation Boosts Amarina Gold Coast Draft

    Wednesday, 6th January 2021

Amarina Farm's reputation for growing quality racehorses has been reinforced by their latest crop of 3YO graduates from their 2019 Magic Millions Gold Coast Yearling draft which has already produced three stakes horses: Group-placed Valanetti, Group-placed Starelle, and Listed-placed Conceited who won on debut this time last year as a 2YO and ran third in the Listed Magic Millions 2YO Classic of last year. With results like that, their 2021 draft of eleven yearlings simply must be inspected, especially when you see the pedigrees on offer with proven sires like Zoustar, Sebring, Savabeel, Not A Single Doubt, Exceed and Excel, and emerging or young sires like Divine Prophet, Rubick, Pride of Dubai, and Highland Reel. The only filly in this classy draft is a Divine Prophet half-sister to Group 2 winner Zoutori, Lot 67, while the remaining ten yearling colts include an Exceed and Excel half-brother, Lot 531, to Gr2 Karrakatta Plate winner Valour Road. Lot 228 is a Not A Single Doubt half-brother to Group 2 winner Contessa Vanessa (runner-up in the Gr1 New Zealand Oaks), while Lot 606 is by Champion Sire Savabeel out of Group 3 winner (of nine races) O'Reilly Rose from the family of emerging sire Shamexpress. Speedy mare Prettyhappyaboutit has Lot 661, a Sebring colt whose Listed-winning dam is a half-sister to stakes-winner Born To Rock. Amarina Farm empirically produces black-type results on the track, and with many of its promising graduates currently flying the flag on the track buyers are expected to make the consignment a must-inspect next week.
