Clerk of the Course Horse Wins at Parkes

Broken Hill trainer Heidi Smith purchased Meteor's Man (O'Lonhro-Meteor Mistress, by Invincible Spirit) to be her clerk of the course horse for the Broken Hill Harness Racing Club, and he showed he's more than that with a win at Parkes last Saturday, reports racingnsw.com.au. The 10YO gelding has done a fair amount of travelling in his 74 starts, starting out with Robbie Griffiths in Victoria, then he was sold to Queensland where he was trained by Jacko Sigvart. He won three races for him, then moved to John Poots in Rockhampton. In 2019, he was shifted to Broken Hill trainer Michael Wayman who won a race with him in rural South Australia, before Meteor's Man moved to Con Kelly in Swan Hill where he picked up another win. Heidi Smith has had him for one start; one win. All up, Meteor's Man has won six races and placed on 23 occasions from 74 starts for all his various trainers. Perhaps his clerk of the course career will be on hold for a little longer.
