Former Central Queensland based stakes winner Better Reflection has sold for the superb sum of $350,000 during yesterday's Magic Millions August Online Sale when knocked down to agent Suman Hedge. Better Reflection was the real star of the sale, winning the Listed Calaway Gal Stakes at her second lifetime start. The strikingly-marked daughter of Vinery Stud's prolific champion shuttler More Than Ready (Southern Halo) earned over $336,000 during her short 15 start career, and was originally purchased by her trainer John Wigginton for the incredible value amount of $20,000 at the Gold Coast March Yearling Sale. According to magicmillions.com.au, Wigginton said: "All the owners are ecstatic! Over the moon. She was a great mare for us." The Rockhampton-based trainer, who was one of Better Reflection's co-owners, trained her across her 15 races, including a close-up fifth in a $105,000 feature at the Sunshine Coast last month at her final start. Hedge said a final decision on who Better Reflection would visit in her first season at stud would be made in the coming days: "We will let the dust settle before deciding on a stallion, but at this stage it's likely to be either Farnan or Written Tycoon," Hedge revealed.
