  • Brae Sokolski Chasing Second Everest Victory

    Thursday, 29th July 2021

Successful two years back when his 3YO colt Yes Yes Yes (Rubick) claimed The Everest, part-owner Brae Sokolski is targeting this year's running of the race with his rising 3YO filly She's All Class (I Am Invincible-Shirra Nui, by Viscount). A winner of the Magic Millions Wyong 2YO Classic by over four and a half lengths, the filly then finished third in the Magic Millions 2YO Classic on the Gold Coast followed by a narrow second in the Gr2 Sweet Embrace Stakes. Trained by Champion trainer Chris Waller, the filly was given an easy time in a recent barrier trial, with her part owner adamant that we will see something special in the spring from her. "She is a filly that I am so excited about, and she is the best filly I've had anything to do with," he told racing.com. "She was an outstanding 2YO but didn't have luck. Set to tackle the traditional Sydney Spring races for the 3YO fillies, Sokolski is open to a change of plan to target The Everest if things fall into place. "The Princess Series is an obvious target for her but if she goes to the Silver Shadow on Winx Stakes Day (August 21) and runs to our expectations, I may try to do the same thing as we did with Yes Yes Yes, who was the first colt to win an Everest." Having not yet obtained a slot, the filly will need to do something outstanding to catch the attention of the remaining seven slot holders who are yet to select a runner.
