Instant Celebrity Aimed at Sydney Spring

Fresh off claiming last Saturday's Gr3 Bletchingly Stakes, trainer Phillip Stokes will aim Group 1 winner Instant Celebrity (Not a Single Doubt-Celebrity Girl, by Starcraft) at both the Golden Eagle and The Invitation in the Sydney spring, reports racingsa.com.au. "She'll having a jump out in a week's time, then a trial and start first-up in the Cockram," Stokes told RSN. The Gr3 Cockram Stakes over 1200m is at Caulfield on August 28, while The Invitation is to be run at Randwick over 1400m on October 23, with the Golden Eagle at Rosehill seven days later. Instant Celebrity won her first four starts in succession including the Listed Oaklands Plate as a 2YO, before running third in the Gr1 Thousand Guineas at three. As an autumn 3YO, she ran fourth in the Listed Redelva Stakes, won the Gr1 Robert Sangster Stakes, and ran second in the Gr1 Goodwood Handicap, to bring her record for five wins and two placings from eight starts. She was not offered at public auction and is the third winner from as many to race for her Listed-winning dam.
