Third in last year's lucrative subsidiary to The Everest, run on the same day at Royal Randwick, Dale anticipates Man of Peace will be out sped on Saturday when carrying 59kg first-up after 8 months, but a recent Moruya trial win gives him the comfort he has returned in good health with a positive attitude to racing. “It is too short for him and he’s off a decent break, I’m very much looking at it as a kick-off point but I want to see him show that little bit of intent to be back at the races and get benefit out of the hit out." He added, “He was a marvel through the winter last year and I was able to place him well through those periods." The Spring Preview (August 14) will again be Dale's key indicator of man of Peace's 2021 Kosciuszko prospects, “Last year we were very deep into a prep then freshened him for it. This time (The Kosciuszko) is definitely on the radar but how we get there isn’t concrete at this stage. We’ll assess off the back of the Spring Preview how we play our next move.”
