  • $500,000 Queen Of Dubai Resumes

    Thursday, 22nd July 2021

The Gai Waterhouse and Adrian Bott trained Queen Of Dubai (Pride Of Dubai-Jezzabba, by Fastnet Rock) resumes on Thursday at Kembla Grange off the back of a recent barrier trial win. Purchased for $500,000 from the draft of Segenhoe Stud at the 2020 Magic Millions Yearling Sale, the 2YO filly is a full-sister to the former Waterhouse/Bott trained Dubai Star who was stakes placed in the Listed Merson Copper Stakes on debut behind Hanseatic (Street Boss). Now in the stable of Annabel Neasham, the Dubai Star resumed recently with a win at Doomben for her connections which include Coolmore Stud. Unplaced in her two starts last campaign, the Tim Clark-ridden Queen of Dubai will jump from barrier 7 in the 11 horse field and is currently well in the market to break her maiden over the 1000m of Thursday's race. Race favourite Girl Mania (Capitalist-Girluphigh, by Unbridled's Song) will prove hard to beat off the back of her two recent second placed efforts while Peter and Paul Snowden's Loving Angel (Winning Rupert-Radiant Angel, by Kheleyf) resumes from a spell with a barrier trial second behind recent winner Larkspur Run (Shamardal).
