Catch Me Sister Ready to Bewitch Punters

Race two at Geelong today, the ATC Insurance Solutions Maiden 2YO Plate over 1147m, features the debut outing for 2YO filly Bewitchingly (I Am Invincible-Captivating Claire, by O'Reilly). The full-sister to group winner and speedy 2YO Catch Me sold for $1.1 million at the 2020 Inglis Easter Yearling Sale from the Segenhoe Stud draft to Tom Magnier. Bewitchingly's dam is an unraced half-sister to Listed winner Ocean Jewel (Ocean Park) from the famed Eight Carat (Pieces of Eight-Klairessa, by Klarion) family. Trained by Anthony and Sam Freedman, Bewitchingly will be ridden by Craig Williams from barrier ten. Only two runners in the field have any race day experience and the early favourite is Godolphin's trial winner Shirshov (Exosphere-Arctic Drift, by Gone West) who is a half-sister to group winners Kuroshio (Exceed and Excel), Believe'n'succeed (Exceed and Excel), and Listed winner Agulhas (Exceed and Excel).
