Tipsters don’t always make for good race-callers, and neither does being a race-caller automatically ensure that tipping is a strength. On Sunday’s meeting at Ballarat, broadcaster Brendan Delaney gave bookmakers nightmares when he correctly tipped the entire card run on the synthetic surface, reports punters.com.au. They weren’t all odds-on either, even if towards the end of the program punters caught wind of what was unfolding and decided to crunch his tips. Known affectionately as Biccies by locals, Delaney’s tips and their respective Fixed odds prices were Nabbed ($2.60), Tessneem ($2.60), Cracking Night ($1.95), Tanner ($2.25), King Kohei ($6.50), Jeneevee ($15) and Kissing Game ($2.35) who delivered the knockout blow for what would have been a dismal day at the office for the bagmen. The collective odds for an all-up bet – Kissing Game was actually $4 earlier in the day – were around a conservative $7,000.
