  • No Nay Never's Celtic Harp Chases Win

    Wednesday, 2nd June 2021

Fifth on debut behind the Edward Cummings-trained Dark Rebel (Astern), the Chris Waller-trained Celtic Harp (No Nay Never-Lagerphone, by Fastnet Rock) heads to Warwick Farm's Wednesday meeting where the colt will contest the Vinery Stud Handicap (1200m) with Hugh Bowman in the saddle. The most expensive yearling sold in Australia by her former Coolmore based sire, Celtic Harp won a recent Rosehill barrier trial over 895m which will have the colt ready for his race day assignment. Purchased from the draft of Yarraman Park Stud at the Magic Millions Yearling Sale by Tom Magnier for $575,000, the colt is out of the stakes placed Fastnet Rock mare Lagerphone, a half-sister to the dam of Gr3 winner Waging War (Rebel Raider). Lagerphone has a yearling full-brother to Celtic Harp that was purchased by James Bester Bloodstock at January this year for $160,000, while the mare foaled a colt by Darley's Champion Sprinter Harry Angel (Dark Angle) and is currently in foal to Coolmore Calyx (Kingman).
