  • Showtime Relative Ready to Win

    Wednesday, 19th May 2021

The interestingly named Crazy Ladies (Snitzel-Marcia Proba, by Falbrav) will be making her third race day start when the Trent Busuttin and Natalie Young-trained filly lines up in Wednesday's Cervus Equipment 2YO Handicap at Ballarat over 1200m. A length second on debut before finishing down the track followed by a spell, the filly is the current favourite in the six-horse field, where a win could add some further gloss to her three-quarter brother Showtime (Snitzel-Flidais, by Timber Country). The young stallion has five first crop weanlings set to sell at the upcoming Magic Millions National Weanling Sale which commences this Thursday on the Gold Coast. Sold for $200,000 to her trainers at the 2019 Magic Millions Yearling Sale from the draft of Fernrigg Farm, Crazy Ladies' dam Maria Proba, herself a half-sister to Group 1 winner Sweet Idea, foaled a colt by Snitzel last season before being covered by Widden Stud's Zoustar. Standing at Arrowfield Stud, the former Hawkes Racing-trained $1.1m Magic Millions yearling Showtime was a four-time Group 2 winner who also placed in the Gr1 All Aged Stakes and Futurity Stakes, and will stand the upcoming breeding season for a fee of $11,000 (inc. GST).
