  • Big Future Predicted for Tycoon Winner

    Tuesday, 4th May 2021

Trainer Stephen Milled expects his 2YO gelding Ruthless Tycoon (Written Tycoon-Precious Moment, by Charge Forward) will have a big future after he won on debut over the weekend, reports rwwa.com.au. "He's a natural little runner and has come through his education very good," Miller said. "Everything you put him up against he just cruises along. He's just got the right attitude, you know. He's a lovely little horse to train. He relaxes really well and is not just a jump and run sprinting type of horse. The more times he goes around the better he is going to be. Yeah, I think he's got a pretty bright future." Ruthless Tycoon is a half-brother to Listed winner Precious Memories (Stratum) but wasn't offered for sale as a yearling. "As a weanling, he got a bad batch of colic," Miller said. "He was always small; apparently out of the mare they are pretty small horses. That knocked him around a fair bit and he couldn't go to the sales. But he's been really well educated and is the ideal horse to train." The dam of Ruthless Tycoon is an unraced half-sister to Group 1 winners Castelvecchio (Dundeel) and Maid of Heaven (Smart Missile) and to group winner Mirrasalo (Redoute's Choice) so his potential shouldn't be any surprise.
