Weekend Black Type Premiership Schedule

In theory, Day-2 of The Championships signals the crescendo of the Sydney Autumn Carnival, yet in reality it’s All-Aged Stakes and Champagne Stakes Day. That elite duo are part of a 5-strong collection of Group 1 races in what is a significant ANZAC weekend of racing from around Australia, New Zealand and Hong Kong. In the latter, on Sunday Sha Tin hosts Champions Day where seven Japanese raiders could contribute to a clean sweep of feature events. There is also ANZAC Day racing at Flemington and Awapuni. Saturday’s four black-type races at Morphettville and three features at Doomben are a clear signal that Carnival racing is beginning in earnest in both South Australia and Queensland.
