  • Tycoon Evie a Princess on The Rise

    Thursday, 22nd April 2021

A winner of four of her nine starts, the last three consecutively, 3YO filly Tycoon Evie (Written Tycoon-Winaura, by Show A Heart) aims for her first stakes success when she lines up in Saturday's Listed Eureka Stud Princess Stakes (1630m) at Doomben. On a possible Queensland Oaks (2200m) campaign, the Rex Lipp-trained filly shows a distinct racing contrast to the career of her full brother Winning Rupert who was known for his utter speed, becoming a multiple record holder over 1200m and 1300m at Eagle Farm. A winner over 1600m two starts back, Tycoon Evie will have the services of regular partner Mark Du Plessis as the pair jump away from barrier 9 in the 12-horse field. Meanwhile, sixth last start in the Gr1 Vinery Stud Stakes (200m) at Rosehill, the Lance O'Sullivan and Andrew Scott-trained Force Of Will (Power-Sade, by Savabeel) will appreciate the drop in class, while the Chris Waller-trained pair of Only Words (Sweynesse-Jungle Pago, by Darci Brahma) and Easifar (Pride Of Dubai-Storm Fronts, by Hurricane Sky) have both shown ability and should not be discounted. Another interesting runner is the Tony Gollan-trained Good Soize (Adelaide-Mountain Dew, by Snowland) who will contest the Princess Stakes first-up, having won up to 1820m in her initial campaign that resulted in two wins and two placed performances from just her four starts.
