  • Darley Announces 2021 Stud Fee Schedule

    GST-inclusive fees have been announced for the 20 Group 1-winning Darley stallions who will stand in New South Wales and Victoria for the 2021 breeding season. Heading this year’s roster is the Champion sire-son duo of Exceed And Excel (Danehill; $132,000) and his World Champion Sprinter son Bivouac (Exceed and Excel; $66,000). Relocating to Kelvinside this season is gun 2YO sire Street Boss (Street Cry; $55,000). The roster includes a new trio of shuttle stallions made up of the best European juvenile in 25 years, Pinatubo (Shamardal; $44,000) who joins the Kelvinside roster in New South Wales, with Northwood Park’s Victorian roster receiving a major boost with the additions of the world’s highest-ranked racehorse of 2020, Ghaiyyath (Dubawi; $27,500), and the undefeated Champion 2YO Earthlight (Shamardal; $22,000). Standing their second season after strong support in their debut season are three other Champions: Microphone (Exceed and Excel; $38,500)Too Darn Hot (Dubawi; $44,000) and Blue Point (Shamardal; $44,000). Still commanding enormous respect among breeders is Lonhro (Octagonal; $66,000), while there are also Brazen Beau (I Am Invincible; $49,500) who has just had a breakthrough with his first Group 1 winner, and Frosted (Tapit; $44,000), who has had two stakes-winners and another two stakes-performers from his first nine runners in Australia. Astern (Medaglia d’Oro; $16,500) is already the sire of a first-crop 5-length stakes-winner, while Kermadec (Teofilo; $11,000) who moves to Northwood Park is already the sire of dual Group 1-winning filly Montefilia. Meanwhile, World Champion Sprinter Harry Angel (Dark Angel; $16,500) returns for his third season after stud masters have described his foals as ‘the best from their mare’.
