  • In Form Think It Over Draws Poorly in Doncaster

    Thursday, 8th April 2021

With a full field of 20 runners and two emergencies, no matter which way you look at it, Kerry Parker's last start Gr1 George Ryder Stakes winner Think It Over (So You Think-Personal Service, by Zabeel) is going to jump from a wide barrier in the Gr1 Doncaster having drawn barrier 18 before the scratchings come through on race morning. In the best form of his career after winning at Group 1 and Group 3 level as well as a Group 2 second from three starts this time in, the 5YO gelding has the services of big race rider Glen Boss. The big race hoop knows a thing or two about winning the Doncaster Handicap, having won the famous mile six times in the last 17 runnings of the race, most recently two years ago aboard Brutal (O'Reilly-Alberton Princess, by Golan) who also jumped from barrier 18, while Kermadec (Teofilo-Hy Fuji, by Fuji Kiseki), who Boss rode to victory in 2015, jumped from barrier 16. Run as the final of four Group 1 races on the first day of The Championships at Randwick, on Saturday, Think It Over is well in the market, sitting on the third line of betting behind last start All-Star Mile winner Mugatoo (Henrythenavigator-Elopa, by Tiger Hill) for the Kris Lees stable and Annabel Neasham's Gr1 Rosehill Guineas-winning colt Mo'unga (Savabeel-Chandelier, by O'Reilly).
