Well Pedigreed American Pharoah Filly to Debut

The Ladbrokes Maiden 2YO Plate at Sale today over 1205m will feature the debut raceday outing for 2YO filly Grappa di Moscato (American Pharoah-Lake Geneva, by Fastnet Rock). Trained by Anthony and Sam Freedman at Flemington, the filly will be ridden by Craig Newitt. Sold at the 2020 Inglis Easter Yearling Sale for $450,000, Grappa di Moscato is the first foal of Listed William Crockett Stakes winner Lake Geneva, who is a sister to group winner Ennis Hill (Fastnet Rock) and Listed winner Acrobat (Fastnet Rock). American Pharoah (Pioneerofthe Nile-Littleprincessemma, by Yankee Gentleman) has already sired three Group 1 winners, and fourteen stakes winners with his oldest crop in the Northern Hemisphere having just turned four. His first Southern Hemisphere crop are currently 2YOs and includes three winners, led by city winner Head of State (American Pharoah-Derelique, by Danehill Dancer).
