  • Lepreezy Looking To Step Up To Listed Company

    Tuesday, 30th March 2021

Queensland sprinter Lepreezy (Better Than Ready-Licenced to Chill, by Choisir) will be aiming to show trainer Angela Stephens if she is on target for an attempt at a Listed race in today's Sky Racing Open Handicap over 1200m at Mackay, reports racingqueensland.com.au. The 4YO mare has won her last two starts in succession and if she runs well tomorrow, she will go to the Listed Ascot Handicap over 1000m at Eagle Farm on April 17. "We've been trying to find a suitable race for her in Brisbane and the Ascot looks a nice race for her," Angela Stephens said. "If not, there's the Bat Out Of Hell over 900 metres at the Gold Coast. She's going well this campaign and everything looks good for another Brisbane campaign." Lepreezy has won nine of her 16 starts with earnings of $206,500; the consistent mare was sold by Yarramalong Park for $30,000 at the 2018 Magic Millions Gold Coast Yearling Sale to co-owner Mary McKenzie. She is out of a winning daughter of Listed winner The Big Chill (O'Reilly-Icy Calm, by Western Symphony). See her dazzling trial from a year ago below.
