Fast forward two days to Monday, and Neasham had her first black type triumph, courtesy of high quality 3YO colt Equation (Press Statement-Purcentage, by Onemorenomore) in the Listed Canberra Guineas (1600m). A $110,000 weanling purchase by Aquis at the 2018 Magic Millions National Sale, Equation – now boasting 4 wins from 5 starts – is from dual 2YO and 3YO Gr1 winner Press Statement’s first crop and becomes his first stakes-winner among a glut of city winners. Press Statement is also sire of Group 3 and Listed-placed Baby Wong who finished in the first half of the $2 million Magic Millions 2YO Classic field in January.
