Unbeaten Life Is Good Ready for Derby

Yet to have his colours lowered, 3YO colt Life is Good (Into Mischief-Beach Walk, by Distorted Humor) has lifted himself into second on the Kentucky Derby leaderboard with a win in the Gr2 San Felipe Stakes on Saturday, reports bloodhorse.com. Owned by WinStar Farm and China Horse Club, Life Is Good's trainer Bob Baffert said the colt will now head to the Gr1 Santa Anita Derby. "He's still green," Baffert said matter-of-factly. "Remember Authentic (Into Mischief) did all that weaving one race … they're still babies. They're still immature. The main thing is he came out of it really well. We saw a lot of raw talent yesterday." Life is Good is now second on the Road to the Kentucky Derby leader board with 60 points, equal with Greatest Honour (Tapit-Tiffany's Honour, by Street Cry) who claims the top spot due to more earnings in non-restricted stakes races.  Life is Good was a $525,000 purchase by China Horse Club and Maverick Racing at the September Keeneland Yearling Sales.
