  • Hinged Proving to Be a Worthy Cause

    Friday, 5th March 2021

Unbeaten 2YO filly Hinged (Worthy Cause-Tints, by Tycoon Ruler) will be aiming to keep her record intact when she runs in the QTIS 2YO Handicap over 1300m at Eagle Farm on Saturday, reported racingqueensland.com.au. "She's a good filly but this is a big step up in class for her," trainer Michael Nolan said about the filly who is owned by retired dentist Dr Kim McCasker. "Kim breeds most of the horses he races and he bred her from Tints who won several races. She's bred to get over ground on both her sire and dam's side. If she runs well, we'll probably give her a short break and target some of the longer races in the winter." Hinged has won both her starts to date, winning on debut at Toowoomba over 1200m, then winning again at the Gold Coast over the same trip. She is from the first crop of Worthy Cause (Choisir-Tahnee Tango, by Grand Lodge) who stands at Clear Mountain Fairview, and the Gr3 Gunsynd Classic winner, who won five races in total, has already had two winners from only four 2YOs to race so far.
