Peters Rules Regal Power Out of All-Star Mile

Defending $5 million All-Star Mile champion Regal Power (Pierro-Broadway Belle, by Redoute's Choice) will miss this year's race and instead spell, reports racing.com. "I wasn't happy with his run and I wasn't happy with him and then we got the bloods," said owner Bob Peters. "They were a little bit out - not much - but at that level you have to be right so we'll bring him home and look after him." The 2019 Gr1 Railway Stakes winner finished ninth in last Saturday's Gr2 Peter Young Stakes, won by Paradee (Epaulette-Icy Heels, by Medaglia d'Oro). "He didn't try really," Peters said. "He just gave it away." Peters will have Arcadia Queen (Pierro-Arcadia, by Redoute's Choice) in The All-Star Mile after she ran second last start in the Gr1 Futurity Stakes behind Probabeel (Savabeel-Far Fetched, by Pins). "Probabeel ran really well last time so it might come down to luck in running but most of her (Arcadia Queen) rivals had a run under their belt and she'll really benefit from that (Futurity) hopefully."
