  • Rumours of Hong Kong For Unbeaten Warrior

    Friday, 12th February 2021

Trainer Glenn Stevenson confirmed there has been some interest from Hong Kong for unbeaten 2YO gelding Turk Warrior (Outreach-Ehor, by Val Royal), reports tasracing.com. “There is a bit going on as far as Hong Kong is concerned but for the time being, we are concentrating on another race closer to home,” said Stevenson. “If he pulls up well, we will go to the Magic Millions Classic on Sunday week and then give him a spell.” Turk Warrior took his record to three wins from three starts in Wednesday night’s Listed Gold Sovereign Stakes over 1200m. “I knew he had the ability to win but when you have a really good horse you can’t help but be nervous when they are about to contest a big race, and this is the richest 2YO race on the calendar.” Passed in at the 2020 Magic Millions Tasmanian Yearling Sale, Turk Warrior now has earnings of $184,300. Both he and runner-up Outbound are by Widden Stud's stunningly-bred young stallion Outreach, a full-brother to George Altomonte's Gr1 Golden Sliiper winner Overreach. Below is Turk Warrior's penultimate win.
