Queensland Trainer Stu Kendrick is refusing to take any credit for the reversal of form of his newish stable runner Foreign Territory. According to racingqueensland.com.au, Kendrick pointed out that the 6YO son of Tavistock has simply benefitted from a change in environment since transferring from Bjorn Baker's Warwick Farm stable to the laid-back Sunshine Coast. Boasting a third and two wins in his only three starts for Kendrick, Foreign Territory is on a hattrick – it's just a question of whether he races today at Doomben or on Saturday at Eagle Farm. "I'll wait and see and have a good look at the fields for Saturday first before deciding where he goes but if he runs at Doomben he'll be very competitive," claimed the trainer. Kendrick explained how he came to inherit Foreign Territory: "I used to train for a couple of his owners who asked me if I would take him on," Kendrick said. "He's managed by Darby Racing and I've trained for them for more than 15 years when I was training in Mackay… As soon as I got him, I gave him a few weeks in the paddock to freshen him up and he's thrived by doing a lot of work on the treadmill then going out to the paddock to pick grass."
