  • All Banter Aimed at Gr1 Oakleigh Plate

    Thursday, 28th January 2021

South Australian filly All Banter (I'm All The Talk-Bantry Bay, by Tale of the Cat) proved too strong in the Listed WJ Adams Stakes over 1000m at Morphetville on Australia Day, with her trainers Richard and Chantelle Jolly told racing.com, she would likely head to the Oakleigh Plate next. "That was the first time she has been up to that grade," jockey Craig Williams said. "They are a lot more seasoned and harder campaigned horses than what she is. She's lightly raced but still on the way up. It's a really exciting time for her. She is purely a real short-course distance horse. That was the toughest test she's had and she did it with flying colours. She's a lovely girl to ride." A $30,000 graduate from the Mungrup Stud draft at the Magic Millions Perth Yearling Sale, All Banter has won four of her six starts to date, and has earnings in excess of $200,000. She is the second stakes winner for I'm All the Talk (Stratum-Weekend Gossip, by Hussonet) who has had only 32 runners to date, and who stands at Mungrup Stud in Western Australia.
