  • Rawiller Move West Tempered by Fall

    Monday, 18th January 2021

A mid-week race fall at Bunbury has somewhat tempered the initial strong results for expat sandgroper Brad Rawiller. Having ridden with great success in Melbourne for years, the elder brother of Nash and uncle of young turk Campbell recently returned to his native Western Australia where he enjoyed success off the bat. Then came Wednesday’s mishap, one which was already considered a bad fall with severe injuries that, according to thewest.com.au, included a broken collarbone, fractured scapula, broken ribs and a punctured lung. Since then, two fractures in his back have also been diagnosed ahead of what is likely to be a drawn out period of rehabilitation. Despite the poor luck, Rawiller wants to make the move to Perth permanent. Adding fuel to the flame, his wife and two children arrived in the west of the country last Sunday, however they’re unable to visit the hoop due to a 14-day quarantine requirement.
