  • Shinn Back On Harmony N Blessed Tonight

    Wednesday, 13th January 2021

Jockey Blake Shinn had to step aside for international jockey Hollie Doyle when she rode Harmony N Blessed (Magnus-Fly To Win, by Danewin) to victory on International Jockeys' Championship day, but he reunites with the promising galloper tonight, reports scmp.com. "Behind the scenes what Blake has done on him has been very helpful," trainer David Hayes said. "He was a very difficult horse when he first came to Hong Kong, wanting to overdo it, and Blake did a great job on him. He gets on so well with him, I reckon it's a bit of a risk putting someone on who doesn't know him." Harmony N Blessed is unbeaten in two starts to date with earnings of HK$1.6million. "I was going to give him a bit longer but he was getting too fresh and needed the work, so we brought his comeback race forward," said Hayes. "I thought the trial (win on 5 Jan) was pretty good down the straight. We gave him a quiet time after his last win and we built him up again and gave him a trial and we were very happy with him." Harmony N Blessed was sold by Rushton Park at the 2018 Inglis Melbourne Yearling Sale for $60,000 to John Foote Bloodstock.
