Costing $575,000 at the Inglis Melbourne Premier Yearling Sale, Pascero (Pierro-Pass the Parcel, by More than Ready) is a half-brother to group placed winner Express Pass (Wandjina). Rounding out the field is the Godolphin runner Alriyah (Medaglia d'Oro-Alizes, by Rory's Jester) who wasn't offered at public auction and is a daughter of Gr2 Magic Night Stakes winner Alizes whose dam is Gr1 The Galaxy heroine La Baraka.
