Lincoln Farm New Home for NSW Aquis Sires

Friday, 31st July 2020

Aquis Farm’s New South Wales stallions will no longer be transferring to Gooree Park as was initially announced a few weeks ago. According to a report in ANZ Bloodstock News, all of Pierata (Pierro), Divine Prophet (Choisir), Spieth (Thorn Park), Invader (Snitzel), Jukebox (Snitzel), Brave Smash (Tosen Phantom), Bellevue Hill (Pierro) and Santos (I Am Invincible) will instead be moved to Lincoln Farm, the Blandford property owned by Nick Posa. The need to move the stallions arose when the three year lease on Emirates Park’s property expired. Aquis CEO Tony Williams, known to all as Tubba, explained: “The original plan was to relocate the NSW stallions to Gooree Park Stud in Mudgee, however, after consultation with numerous clients and industry participants, we have listened and the right thing for our clients, shareholders and the stallions is to keep the stallions in the Hunter Valley.” The agreement for Aquis Farm to operate its NSW stallion division from Lincoln Farm is, at this stage, on a one-year basis, with Williams looking ahead to longer term Hunter Valley options: “Certainly we will be looking at establishing a permanent Aquis base in the future.”
