Jockey Lane Returns to Melbourne on Saturday
Leading jockey Damian Lane will return to race riding in Melbourne on Saturday after completing his two week mandatory quarantine period after returning from Japan, reports racing.com. Over the last three months in Japan, Lane rode 41 winners from 192 rides, but with his Japan Racing Association (JRA) contract expired, he is looking towards the Victorian Spring Carnival. Last year he was able to renew his association with Lys Gracieux who won the Cox Plate in dazzling style. So far, he is booked for Godolphin's Group 2-placed Geist (Medaglia d'Oro-Wraith, by Exceed and Excel) and Danny O'Brien's Group 3-placed winner Clementina (Savabeel-Patrimonium, by Green Desert) at The Valley on Saturday.
