Euro Belle Holds Heinrich City Hopes

Wednesday, 29th July 2020

Trainer Gillian Heinrich is hopeful Euro Belle (Eurozone-Feline Flyer, by Catbird) will give her more city opportunities when she tackles the QTIS 3YO Handicap at Doomben today, reports racingqueensland.com.au. "It's been a long time since I have been able to go to town regularly with a decent runner," Heinrich said. "Euro Belle has been doing a great job and she'll run very well tomorrow. But I'll only give her one more run after this before she goes for a spell as I don't want to overtax her. She was beaten less than one length last run by Stuttering and we were to meet him on better terms if he ran against us." Heinrich used to have a team of around 70 horses prior to her well-documented battle with cancer lead to her needing to reduce stable numbers. With a recovery under her belt, she has been steadily building up her numbers again and now has 38 horses in work. Her biggest win was when Military Rose (General Nediym-Bella Maddelena, by Flying Spur) won the 2010 Magic Millions 2YO Classic. Euro Belle didn't go to the sales as a young horse and has won two of her ten starts.
