Jet Propulsion Saved for Canterbury
Choicely-bred late season 2YO Jet Propulsion (Rubick-November Flight, by Flying Spur) was scratched from Tuesday’s Wyong meeting in preference for making his debut at Canterbury in Sydney on Wednesday. Trained by Ciaron Maher and David Eustace, the colt is a half-brother to Gr1 All Aged Stakes winner Pierata (making his stud debut at Aquis Farm in 2020), a gun sprinter-miler who amassed over $5 million in earnings with multiple Group wins and Group 1 placings. Another half-brother, Ashokan, won the Gr3 Skyline Stakes as a 2YO before training on to place in the Gr1 Golden Rose. Tracing directly back to Golden Slipper-winning Champion 2YO Filly Century Miss, it’s an in-demand family. A $900,000 Inglis Easter Sale graduate, Jet Propulsion will carry Coolmore’s famous dark navy silks, and he is owned by Coolmore, Hobartville Stud Pty Ltd, Kia Ora Stud W S, Mr R McClure, Mr B F Sokolski, Rosemont Stud Pty Ltd, Glentree Racing, Ciaron Maher Racing and Mr P G Moody. Tommy Berry takes the ride for the $5.50 chance in the day’s opening event at 12.50pm.
