Gr3 Bletchingly Stakes Result Already Known

Odd-Spot: It’s the dream all punters have – knowing the result of a race before it happens. Such is the respect within which Wikipedia is held, whatever it publishes is almost beyond repute. Which is why, ahead of next weekend’s Gr3 Bletchingly Stakes at Caulfield, racing.com reports that trainer Nick Ryan would be both delighted and bemused to find that his stable’s 3YO runner, Express Pass, is already listed as Saturday’s winner on Wikipedia. Adding to the confusion of the website entry which was made on 3 July, Express Pass isn’t even guaranteed to run in the late season event, with the stable considering a race early next week at Bendigo instead.
