Hot Diggety Dog Gets Tongues Wagging
Odd-Spot 2: Sometimes you seen it all and sometimes you ain’t. For anybody that’s never ventured to Wenty Park on a cold winter’s evening where the cuisine comprises baked spuds with a chili con carne filling, and instant coffee, it’s like watching sleigh racing in the arctic tundra whilst sitting on cold rocks – entertaining but both mind and posterior numbing. And, yet one can only envy those die-hard patrons who ventured to the Sydney greyhound track on Saturday night and witnessed a performance that has set the bar about as high as it can get. One of the country’s most promising stayers, Good Juan (pink jacket), took on a fifth grade field over 520m – as far as the sprinters want to go and where 720m stayers start to warm up – and he emulated Harry Houdini, Kingston Town and Chatauqua rolled into one with an escape act that defies comprehension. Good one, Good Juan.
He's no stranger to epic finishing bursts but tonight's performance from Good Juan has to be seen to be believed 😱 pic.twitter.com/3TH9sU9hCR— Sky Racing (@SkyRacingAU) June 27, 2020
