Harbour Views Kept Ticking Over For Spring
Potential 2020 Gr1 Cox Plate runner Harbour Views (Le Havre-Icky Woo, by Mark of Esteem) will go for a working holiday after he contests the Neds Money Back Odds Handicap over 2000m on Saturday at Caulfield, reports racing.com. Trainer Matthew Williams said, "He will have a little break after Saturday. It will be more of a working holiday for him. He will do a bit of wading at the beach and a bit of work in the water walker. We will back off him for a few weeks and all being well the plan is to build him up heading up towards the Feehan." Harbour Views is a $2.05 favourite for Saturday and will be ridden again by John Allen. "He is terrific," Williams said. "He had a little gallop on Tuesday morning at Warrnambool on the course proper and worked over a mile there, worked up the last 600m. It's probably as good as he has worked on pretty soft ground for us." Harbour Views has won six of his nine starts and placed in the other three, and is a French import who came here as an unraced horse.
